The Point Croisette is part of Boulevard of the Croisette that continues on the point after crossing the city center. The oratory of the Cross is particularly symbolic of this district. It was erected at the place where the pilgrims gathered on their way to the island of Saint -Honorat .
The Croisette downtown district is the most exclusive area in Cannes. A real hotspot, the Palais des Festivals and Congress, its palaces, its boardwalk and beaches that surround it, gives it it's international reputation.
La Croisette, because of its international reputation, full of residences and quality buildings. Three hotels in particular contribute to its reputation : the Carlton , Majestic and Martinez .
Commercial and residential, this pedestrian area is particularly lively. The alleys of Liberty is the green lung of the area and the bandstand is unavoidable.
