e Suquet is none other than the oldest district of Cannes. It is sort of the "old town". There is a castle and chapel Sainte- Anne around which grew a real fortified village. The tower of Le Suquet, the Chapel of St. Anne and the Church of Our Lady of Hope are also the historical monuments in the area and are located on the Place de la Castre. It is recommended to browse the Forville market, built with the real colors of Provence, led by its merchants and local fishermen offering seasonal produce, local fish and flowers. The area is also full of small restaurants where you can taste traditional Mediterranean cuisine.
In summer, outdoor concerts are held at night in the Suquet where bands, performers, soloists and young talent revive your ears to classical music performances.
